Policy on Vaccinated and Unvaccinated people attending Carbrook Golf Club

Queensland Health has published the Public Health and Social Measures linked to vaccination status Direction (PHD). The PHD are law and come into effect 5:00am on 17 December 2021.

Carbrook Golf Club will adhere to the direction laid down by Queensland Health. Golf Australia and Clubs Queensland have provided Golf Clubs with some assistance in interpreting how these will affect Clubs.

In doing so we clarify that at Carbrook Golf Club the following will apply:

Golf Operations

  • Unvaccinated people can play golf, including associated activities i.e. golf course practice facilities
  • Unvaccinated people can play golf in the same group as fully vaccinated people
  • Unvaccinated people can share a golf cart with a vaccinated golfer
  • Unvaccinated people can use the ‘drinks cart’ service if in use
  • Unvaccinated people can enter and use Pro Shop services
  • Unvaccinated people can purchase take away food and drink to consume on the golf course and practice facilities. They cannot eat and drink in the Pro Shop, clubhouse and surrounds

Carbrook Golf Club encourages both golf participants and workers to get vaccinated as soon as they are able as the above information may change at any time.

Clubhouse
There are different requirements for vaccinated and unvaccinated patrons:

  • Vaccinated patrons can use all hospitality services of a golf club/facility
  • Unvaccinated patrons may enter the clubhouse to collect take away food and beverage for consumption whilst playing golf, or for purposes associated with playing golf, i.e. paying fees, purchasing food and beverages (to be consumed whilst playing)
  • Unvaccinated patrons may enter the clubhouse to use the toilets and showers

In managing this last dot point signage will be in place advising that only vaccinated people are able to consume food and beverage in the Clubhouse and surrounds. Our staff will also ask for proof of vaccination if you intend to consume food and beverage in the Clubhouse and surrounds.

As you can enter the Clubhouse to use the facilities and also purchase food and beverage you will not be required to show proof of vaccination to gain entry into the Clubhouse. Please note that you may be asked for proof of vaccination if you intend to stay within the Clubhouse and surrounds.

Workforce
Our Hospitality Staff must be vaccinated to be able to continue to work from the 17 December 2021.

Qld Check In App

Members and visitors must continue to check in every time they attend the club. This will make the display of your green tick within the CIQ App simple if a staff member approaches you.

Respect for our staff

Our Board and Management are implementing this policy due to the mandate imposed by the Queensland Government. We understand that everyone has their own opinion on this issue and whether you agree or disagree, the Club is simply following the Rules imposed by the Government. With that in mind all members and visitors are expected to show respect to the staff of Carbrook Golf Club at all times.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to help our Club adhere to this Public Health Direction.

Our General Manager is available at any time should you wish to discuss this matter.
