This is a call out to male members of Carbrook Golf Club who would be interested in taking part in the Queensland Mens Senior Mid-week Challenge.
This is a competition run between various clubs in our area over approximately a 5 month period , generally from April to August. ( I haven’t received the firm dates yet)
The games consist of one home and one away game between each competing team and are generally held on a Tuesday or Thursday.
Each game involves a team of 8 players from each club and is played using a match play format, 4 singles matches and two foursome matches. Players must be 55 years of age or older with 2 players being over 60. Maximum GA Handicap is 18.
Games are conducted at no cost to the participants as all clubs cover the playing fees etc. (You just need to get yourself there)
I am calling for as many players as possible to join us and come and represent your club. In previous years we have struggled to get numbers and it makes it hard on the same people who turn up every year.
So, if you are interested, please email me, Andy Stocks on stocksdrew688@gmail.com and let me know by the end of February. Include your phone number and GA Handicap and shirt size in the email. Or speak to me at the club and let me know.
The more players I get the easier it is on all concerned.
These games are fun and those who join the team are issued with a Team Shirt for their use.
Come along and have some fun and at the same time support your club and play at some different courses during the season.
