We are now close to the final stages of the 9th Hole and putting green upgrade. The surrounds are now being laid with new turf and the entire area is starting to look amazing.
The greens which still appear as sand in the images will be stolonised next week.
What does stolonise mean?
Stolonising is the process of harvesting individual grass plants, just the root, stem and leaf of one individual plant and then transpanting this from the nursery to the new green site. Once kept wet these plants will regrow and form a new green in around 8-12 weeks.
The project has been delayed by a few weeks due to the supply of sand from River Sands that has had some issues in producing the specific sand we require, but we are on track for an opening now towards the end of February 2024.
