Unfortunately, The Prime Minister on Sunday 29/03/2020 announced further measures to keep the public safe by restricting outdoor gathering numbers to two people. The Government has also made strong recommendations that people over 70 years of age should self isolate and restrict their participation in outdoor activities.
The club’s reaction to the Prime Minister’s announcement is to restrict playing groups to 2 people and to also recommend that people over 70 should stay away. The club has advised that the Vets competitions is suspended at this stage and that the cancelled Vet’s competitions be replaced by a Stableford ball competition run by the club. You will need to rebook for any existing bookings you have made for the cancelled Vet’s competitions.
As you would be aware that due to the Coronovirus things are in a state of flux and that other changes may be imposed which could result in even greater restrictions. Please make yourself aware of the status of play through the Carbrook Golf Club web site and notifications made by the club.
I am sure we will work through these trying times and, like you, the Vet’s Committee look forward to Vet competitions and activities resuming in the future.
