Hi and welcome back to Golf for 2020.
Hope you all had a good break and are enthusiastic about the new year with golfing being a high light!
We’d like to wish all those that are ill or have injuries a speedy recovery so we can see you soon.
The first game back was a ‘fun’ game by all accounts, a Four-ball split sixes event, with a special scoring system, it was a very close game – the winners being Diane Taylor and Jill Magee, on a count back with Gill Fisher and Pamela Coker runners up.
The weather having gone from boiling hot & humid to a cloudy blowy day for the last stableford made it a much more pleasant day for golf with a few excellent scores. Talk about the heavens opening up – lets hope we don’t get so much that there is flooding this year!
Just a reminder the club has introduced a free Ladies Introduction to Golf with coach Kate Dunn, so if you know of anyone wanting to have a go get in touch with the office. It would be great to have some new ladies join us.
We will update you soon on Interclub games so let us know if you’d like to play in them.
I hope you all know by now our new Ladies Committee, please let us know if you have anything you’d like discussed at the monthly meetings.
