Members please note that with sadness we advise the passing of Betty Smith on Saturday evening – 1st June. The Smith family were the original owners and creators of Carbrook Golf Club in the late 1970s. Betty, wife of Tom and mother of Peter and Phil were all heavily involved in the foundation of the Club and were well known to all who were members of the Club through this period and into the 1980s.
Betty passed away on Saturday at the age of 88.
Peter (who is still a member) has advised that the funeral will be held on Friday 7 June at St Matthews (Loganholme) from 11am with the wake to be held following at Carbrook Golf Club.
