Today we celebrate 28 years of service from our Head Professional Tony Di Tommaso. Way back on the 19 March 1991 Tony took over from the Club’s previous Professional Barry Humphrey after completing his traineeship at The Brisbane Golf Club and then playing on tour for a few years.

Since that time arriving at Carbrook Tony has been the constant for members and visitors to the Club and its fair to say, the “face of Carbrook”. It would be remiss of us not to also acknowledge Tony’s brother Paul who has been at the Club for many of these years as well.

It’s been a story of resilience as the Club battled 3 floods in the 90s, went through a full redevelopment of its property and golf course, and then an additional two floods in 2013 and 2017. Having overcome all of these challenges there have been many great experiences, successes and laughs along the way.

Tony has also fostered the development of 11 Trainee Professionals during his tenure including both the current General Manager, Scott Wagstaff and the Membership and Development Officer Angus Porter.

Tony and Paul – thank you for your commitment to our Club and we salute you both!
