As many members will know our Club is and has always been built on the back of a strong volunteer network.

In recent years we have seen a huge increase in the number of volunteer hours thanks to a larger number of members finding time to help out at the Club. This has seen our Volunteer network become very well organised and the Club has also adapted with appropriate practices to ensure the safety of our volunteers when they are at the Club.

The increase in volunteer hours has coincided with an improved golf course overall as this support allows our qualified staff to focus on tasks and issues where their knowledge and experience can be more valuable.

Many of our volunteers are trained to operate mowers of various styles (rotary and cylinder). After completing the appropriate training, volunteers do a 4 or 5 hour shift on a mower once or twice a week, or once a fortnight depending on their availability. Volunteers are a valued part of the Club’s team and are provided with a uniform shirt, workers insurance plus food and beverage on each shift.

If you have some spare time and would like to help maintain and improve your golf club, plus feel good about being in the fresh air in a beautiful environment, please contact Andy Stocks on 0430 491 955 for more details.
